Emily and Danny’s beautiful sunny summer wedding took place in July last year at Bert’s Barrow. Set in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, Bert’s Barrow is a truly special venue, offering a relaxed rustic barn setting surrounded by rolling fields, open skies and the kind of natural charm that makes it a dream location for a summer wedding. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was calm, joyful and brimming with anticipation - the perfect backdrop for Emily and Danny’s celebrations.
The morning began with final preparations and plenty of excitement. Danny and his groomsmen were very dapper in their black tie attire while Emily wore her stunning wedding dress and veil beautifully. Their ceremony took place in the main barn in front of nearest and dearest. There were tears, big beaming smiles and belly laughs galore as the couple said their “I Do’s” and exchanged wedding rings. We had a gorgeous reading by one of Emily’s friends and background music from a live guitarist and singer before the bride and groom marched down the aisle as man and wife!
Confetti was thrown before enjoying fizz and canapés while we took some lovely family and friends group photos in the sunshine. Bert’s Barrow and it’s fabulous outdoor space really comes to life when the sun shines and we made the most of the beautiful gardens and surrounding scenery for some epic portraits in the Yorkshire countryside. Guests were then called in for a delicious meal, followed by a series of heartfelt and hilarious speeches that had everyone laughing with a bonus round of bingo to finish the formalities (a life sized cardboard cut-out of our gorgeous couple was the big prize!) before we headed to the dance floor to cut the cake and cut some shapes. A fantastic live band provided the music and we partied into the wee hours to celebrate.

It was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, and I had an amazing time capturing every moment. I can’t wait to be back at Bert’s Barrow again very soon!
