Fixby Hall Wedding, Yorkshire

Abi & Nick’s wedding was a glorious affair in the heart of Yorkshire. The ceremony took place at Emmanuel Church in Shelley, near Huddersfield and just around the corner from Abi’s family home. She got ready with her parents and bridesmaids at the house (and looked incredible might I add, check out that dress!!) while Nick was busy at the church greeting their arriving guests. The church had been beautifully decorated with flowers and bunting galore and it looked incredible. Their’s was a religious service and I found a great spot at the end of the aisle for capturing the incoming light from the huge church windows beautifully, it really was an ideal spot for a beautiful ceremony. After the I Do’s there was a huge confetti line down the church’s path which was made for the job before getting in their beautiful vintage car to take them to the reception. Also provided was a fab vintage red double decker bus for their guests, what class!

And what a reception it was! We drove to Huddersfield’s Fixby Hall where a beautiful marquee had been erected thanks to my good friends at Will’s Marquees in the stunning grounds of the hall. I’d be lying if I said we had the perfect weather all day long, but the rain spells were mostly few and far between so I still managed to take lots of glorious photos in the sunshine; we even managed to make use of a rainbow background towards the end of the day and it was just stunning (if a little fortunate!) We danced the night away to the incredible band Hand Fulla Soul and much fun was had as day turned into night. Thank you so much Abi and Nick and all involved for having me along to capture your amazing day. I’m so pleased with every single one of the photos, but here’s a quick selection to give you a little taste.

What. A. Day!
