Scottish Farm Wedding

Tara & Ian married in Fife in October 2020 with a small but beautiful wedding in keeping with covid regulations. They had a small church congregation with face masks and social distancing but it didn’t hinder the celebrations in the slightest. This gorgeous Scottish farm wedding took place in the Parish Church at Kilconquhar in front of their nearest and dearest with the reception at Tara’s family’s Farm Shop at Ardross. With such a beautiful coastal destination it was impossible to take a bad photo!

Tara got ready with her bridesmaids and mum at the farmhouse with bubbly, breakfast and beautiful dresses while Ian looked equally dapper in his classic kilt ensemble. The sun shone for a beautiful but chilly autumnal Scottish afternoon and the church was resplendent in its glow. After a shortened ceremony we hopped outside for some photos and confetti in the churchyard before setting off to the Fife coast. En route to the farm shop we stopped off at the Lady’s Tower in Elie for a few windy but beautiful coastal portraits before carrying on for a good feeding. On the menu was the most incredible steak, reared and butchered on site by the farm staff (Tara’s sisters!) The celebrations continued with speeches and toasts and more than a little whisky (making me a happy boy!) and rounding off the evening was an incredible fireworks display over the road - what a spectacular end to the evening! Thank you Tara and Ian for being such great sports on the day and to all involved in making it such a special wedding.

It was such a fantastic Scottish wedding and one that I’ll remember for a long time. The rugged landscape of coastal Fife makes for such a stunning location and I’m so proud of all the photos we took. Here’s to many more Scottish weddings.
