Yorkshire Sculpture Park Wedding

Anna and Nick’s gorgeous wedding took place in September at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park at West Bretton and it really was just wonderful. The sculpture park is an incredible open-air gallery with works by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and many others across a vast Yorkshire parkland. I’ve been many times as a visitor and had always wanted to photograph a wonderful wedding at the venue, so when Anna got in touch I was overjoyed at the prospect. It absolutely didn’t disappoint and I’m really glad to have played my part in a glorious day with lots of amazing people.

Anna and her bridesmaids got ready at the family home in Wakefield before making the journey to the nearby Yorkshire Sculpture Park and she looked stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress. Their ceremony took place in the Roger Evans Auditorium where Nick was nervously awaiting his bride along with their wedding guests. The happy couple said their I Do’s in front of nearest and dearest before heading out onto the balcony for confetti, fizz, photos and mingling.

Afterwards we continued the celebrations upstairs in the glass-fronted restaurant which was decorated beautifully with Anna’s Hepworth inspired table pieces and gorgeous flowers. There was a delicious three course meal, hilarious and heartfelt speeches and we danced the night away to a live band and DJ set. The moves on the dance floor had to be seen to be believed - see photos for evidence!

Thank you Anna and Nick for having me along to take your photos and for being so wonderful on the day. Thanks also go to everyone at the venue for helping with the running of the day and all the suppliers who made it so special. I’m back at The Yorkshire Sculpture for another wedding next year and I’m already counting down the weeks. Congratulations you two.
